Line Balancing Made Easy – Assembly Line Balancing Software

Improve your production line balancing with ipolog!

Dynamic production planning and optimized production line balancing is a crucial success factor for your factory. However, it’s difficult to implement an ideal production cycle time with constraints such as constantly changing production programs or order requirements. Production changes also lead to increased challenges for assembly line worker scheduling. But these challenges also create a lot of hidden opportunities!

Our ipolog assembly line balancing software evaluates the assembly line on the basis of individual takt times and manufacturing processes to display the degree of capacity utilization for each worker and product at any given point. This includes taking into account material supply and worker routes. Our simulation software automatically distinguishes between value-adding and non value-adding movement, such as traveling to the next work station or picking up material. This is particulary helpful in industries with complex products and many production variables.

Production Planning with ipolog Software

Scheduling worker workloads in usually based on a combination of experience and the scheduled production program. ipolog assigns each worker’s work tasks in the correct chronological order. Discover the advantages of optimized production line balancing at a glance:

  • Analyze the degree of capacity utilization per worker for the optimal cycle time
  • Combination of workers, product and process for better balancing
  • Dynamic visual evaluation and Gantt chart for better productivity management
  • Directly adjust the worker workload and see the immediate effects on cycle time

Here’s what our customers have to say

"Especially for the planning and balancing of assembly lines, the company has created a unique tool with the ipolog software, which impresses our customers worldwide".

Thomas Dehm, Managing Director EISENMANN Russia

Assembly Line Balancing Software – The Success Factor For Your Company

The optimal planning and balancing of the assembly line requires the knowledge of which worker is assigned to which task and how much time is required to complete that task. Do you not currently have a workflow time analysis? No problem! Our planning partners will help you lay the foundation for your dynamic cycle time analysis and to correctly record work processes and times using MTM or REFA.

Once all the data is available in our ipolog software, the optimization of line balancing and manufacturing operations can begin: assembly lines and production areas are displayed in 3D in the simulation software tool. The simulation allows for the comparison of cycle times at a glance, idle times and worker and vehicle workloads (forklifts, AGVs, etc.). Even just minor adjustments can lead to the elimination of idle times, better worker utilization and the optimization of the entire production process. An increase in output leads to a tangible increase in the manufacturing productivity level. View the advantages at a glance:

  • Workers

assignment to station (or production areas) and product

  • Times

Analysis of value-adding tasks verses unproductive times (retrieving material, changing workstation)

  • Material

Assignment to worker and production process

  • Processes

Chronological sequence & employee route simulation

Balancing the workload – Crucial for your assembly line production

  • Transfer work processes to other workers and safeguard the entire process chain

  • Full capacity utilization of workers

  • Change process sequence for perfect process balancing

  • Combine picking processes to reduce walking distances

Material, times and routes of the assembly line or production area can be read off in a Gantt diagram. Capacity utilization that is too high or too low can be identified at a glance, which enables optimal capacity planning for each worker. This leads to positive effects on production and line balancing.

Work steps can be transferred to other workers per drag & drop. The corresponding materials in the container are automatically moved with the work steps – even across production areas. This increases the degree of productivity and improves the cycle time.

Clipboards are no longer sufficient to improve worker shifts, cycle times and line balancing. We would be glad to show you how to successfully synchronize your work schedule.

Based on this information you can create a production schedule. This production schedule includes all important data and information, such as quantities, histograms about the number and type of end products and which end products are produced in which line or production area.
