Time Savings Through 3D Shelf Planning for Manufacturers and Planners

Launch of IPO.Rack shortens shelf ordering time.

Shelf planning and ordering for manufacturing companies could be so easy! If it weren’t for the special requests that require a lot of coordination between manufacturer and customer… Drawings, parts lists, order faxes, change requests go back and forth and cost planners and shelf manufacturers unnecessary time. The planning experts of IPO.Plan were of the opinion that this doesn’t have to be the case! In October the 3D shelf configurator IPO.Rack will be launched on the market.

The 3D configurator enables production planners to speed up and accurately plan shelves in cooperation with shelf manufacturers. With this tool, racks can be planned and assembly drawings of the rack can be created within seconds, without having to master a CAD program. It is easy to use and self-explanatory. The planner selects from an existing shelving library of the manufacturers and modifies the shelves as required. Simply enter the dimensions, enter the number of shelves/roller tracks – done! The shelf is immediately visible in 3D and the parts list is included. The planner only has to commission the manufacturer with the enclosed parts list. This does not take long and saves both sides valuable time. IPO.Plan provides its customers with a free version “IPO.Rack-light”, which will soon be available for download on the company’s homepage.

Shelf manufacturer TRILOGIQ will release its own IPO.Rack version with extensive shelf data. Christian Schulz, Trilogiq management: “IPO.Rack is an innovative idea to make life easier for designers. Simple shelving solutions can be developed by the planners themselves. I would recommend IPO.Rack because it allows simple shelving solutions to be developed quickly and efficiently.”
