LogiMAT 2017: IPO.Plan and Actano Present 4D Project Management

Feb 24, 2017

Actano and IPO.Plan provide clear and meaningful project planning for extensive development, factory planning and logistics projects in industry. In the context of cooperation, they combine collaborative project management with a meaningful 3D visualization of digital models. The RPLAN 4D software saves up to 30 percent of time through better overview and orientation. At the LogiMAT trade fair from 14 to 16 March in Stuttgart, visitors will experience 4D project management for the first time in Hall 1, Stand 1F31 of IPO.Plan.

RPLAN 4D opens up new ways of planning, controlling and communicating extensive and branched projects in the industry. Through a direct link to the respective planning object, the software reduces complexity and creates a better understanding of the respective tasks and project consequences. A powerful rendering functionality allows the fast import of extensive CAD models of nearly all systems and a fluent navigation – in direct connection with comprehensive functions for the collaborative management of long-term projects. The software meets the special needs of the automotive industry, mechanical and plant engineering as well as the construction industry.

Where large investments, long-term planning cycles with numerous participants, and an extensive supply chain prevail, RPLAN 4D ensures user-friendliness and transparency, fast and detail-based decisions, and higher quality. Easy integration of the various disciplines into the planning environment leads to better motivation of the parties involved. This facilitates communication and collaboration between suppliers and experts without project management experience. Higher transparency prevents errors and leads to early detection of conflicts in project planning.

In many areas, close work is already being done on 3D models and with virtual reality. This applies to the product development process in industry as well as to factory planning – but also to large construction projects. In these areas, collaborative project planning on the 3D model – 4D project planning – is the logical step towards digitalization.

Other planning solutions such as IPO.Log or IPO.Rack from IPO.Plan can be easily connected to the cloud-based project platform for detailed planning of all logistics processes.

Trade fair note: IPO.Plan and Actano will present the 4D project management RPLAN 4D to the public for the first time at the LogiMAT trade fair in Stuttgart from 14 to 16 March. Visit the booth in hall 1 at stand 1F31.
